چکیده
Real-time global illumination is an extremely challenging problem because of its intrinsic complexity due to the interplay between complex geometry, multiple light bounces, and stringent real-time frame-rate requirements. In this paper, we present a new technique that enables computation in generic scenes for diffuse surfaces static geometry. Our combines voxel-based representation scene, voxel-clustering algorithm, iterative light-propagation algorithm based on resulting clusters. Although our implementation currently designed handle first (and main) bounce, allows bounces. Summing up all these components results flexible capable providing effects on-the-fly computations.

Many-Lights Real Time Global Illumination Using Sparse Voxel Octree
The many-lights real time Global Illumination (GI) algorithm is promising but requires many shadow maps to be generated for Virtual Point Light (VPL) visibility tests, which reduces its efficiency. Prior solutions restrict either the number or accuracy of shadow map updates, which may lower the accuracy of indirect illumination or prevent the rendering of fully dynamic scenes. In this paper, we...
متن کاملReal-time Indirect Illumination with Clustered Visibility
Visibility computation is often the bottleneck when rendering indirect illumination. However, recent methods based on instant radiosity have demonstrated that accurate visibility is not required for indirect illumination. To exploit this insight, we cluster a large number of virtual point lights – which represent the indirect illumination when using instant radiosity – into a small number of vi...
متن کاملReal-Time Global Illumination of Deformable Objects
Existing real-time rendering methods for global illumination use precomputation to simplify runtime computations, but constrain scene geometry to be rigid. This constraint greatly restricts the practical application of these techniques to interactive graphics. This research uses a data-driven approach to support real-time rendering of global illumination effects on deformable surfaces under low...
متن کاملReal-Time Global Illumination on GPU
We present a system for computing plausible global illumination solution for dynamic environments in real time on programmable graphics processors (GPUs). We designed a progressive global illumination algorithm to simulate multiple bounces of light on the surfaces of synthetic scenes. The entire algorithm runs on ATI’s Radeon 9800 using vertex and fragment shaders, and computes global illuminat...
متن کاملReal-Time Global Illumination in Point Clouds
In this paper we present a real-time global illumination approach for illuminating scenes containing huge point clouds. Our GI approach is based upon the distribution of Virtual Point Lights (VPLs) in the scene, which are then used for the indirect illumination of the scene geometry, using Imperfect Shadow Maps for visibility calculation of the VPLs. We are able to render multiple indirect ligh...
